Who qualifies during pregnancy
Florida WIC supports women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or recently pregnant, infants and children under 5, with a low or moderate income and a nutrition risk, living in Florida. WIC provides healthy foods, breastfeeding support, nutrition education and referrals to health care and community services.
If you already receive Medicaid, temporary cash assistance (TCA) or food assistance, you are income-eligible. You do not have to be on any program to qualify.
How the unborn baby counts
For a pregnant woman, each unborn baby counts as one extra person in the household size. Use the right row of the income table:
| Your situation | Household size | Monthly limit | Weekly limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Living alone, one baby on the way | 2 | $3,337 | $770 |
| Living alone, twins on the way | 3 | $4,212 | $972 |
| With a partner, one baby on the way | 3 | $4,212 | $972 |
| With a partner and one child, one baby on the way | 4 | $5,088 | $1,175 |
Gross income, before taxes. Table revised June 26, 2026. Use the income calculator for other pay schedules.

After the birth
WIC continues after the birth: postpartum women can be served for up to six months after the end of the pregnancy, and breastfeeding mothers can receive food benefits until the baby turns 1. Your baby can be enrolled as an infant. Tell your WIC office about the birth so the clinic can update your family's benefits.
